ABOUT US

We have been watching birds, both in a cage in our home and in a bird house in the back yard for years.  We have also watched the hummingbirds hover in mid air while sucking nectar out of flowers.  The thrill of seeing this bird life for us has been so fulfilling as well as mind boggling.   Watching purple martins come through and take up residence in our purple martin house and bear baby birds and move on, presumably going further north for the summer and then, of all things to return to our purple martin house as winter moves in, is nothing short of amazing.  How on earth do they find the same bird house on their journey of hundreds or thousands of miles???  And watching them  'Swoop down' or 'Walk' around the yard eating insects, I understand thousands a day, makes one smile.  Nice way to get rid of mosquitos.

What we hope to bring with this web site are the basic house, feeders and accessories to start you on, or to help you upgrade your bird watching hobby.  Yes, at times, even a hammock is nice.   We know that from time to time there are are purchasing opportunities that present themselves for only a limited time.   As we run across these, we would love to share them with you.
